The US Air Force raised F-16C fighters to intercept Russian Tu-95MS bombers

American F-16C fighters took to the air to intercept two Russian Tu-95MS missile bombers in the Alaska region. This was reported by the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).

According to the US military, the Russian missile carriers entered and were in the identification zone of the Alaska air defense, for which NORAD is responsible. At the same time, the American side noted the professionalism and absence of provocations on the part of the Russian pilots.

Earlier it became known that 2 Tu-95MS long-range bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces performed a planned 12-hour flight over the neutral waters of the Pacific Ocean, the Bering and Okhotsk Seas.
