The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Dmitry Kuleba proposed an alternative to the “Russian world” for Belarus. He called on Minsk to join the “Lublin Triangle”. It already includes Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania.

As reported by Vesti.ua Kiev will work so that “to bring closer the moment when Belarus will choose the Lublin Triangle instead of the “Russian world”.

Meanwhile, Elena Panina, a member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, appreciated Kuleba’s words. According to her, the union of the republic with Poland and Lithuania will not lead to the “European future” promised on the Maidan. It will make the country just an economic appendage of the peripheral countries of Eastern Europe.

This “Lublin triangle” reminded her of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Poland was a metropolis there.
