President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will have the opportunity to choose a country that will temporarily represent Kiev’s interests in Russia. This is necessary to resolve visa issues.
According to the Minister of the Government of Ukraine Oleg Nemchinov, his country already has existing agreements with certain visa centers in the Russian Federation. Nevertheless, Ukraine’s interests in Moscow will also be represented by another country.
The Ukrainian government has been introducing a visa regime for Russian citizens since July 1, 2022. Now a Russian citizen will need to apply for a visa to visit the country.
Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko has already called this step “another wildness”. And the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that our country will not respond with a similar measure.
