Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, said that the Ukrainian side attempted to land troops in Energodar last night in order to seize the nuclear power plant, at least 30 boats took part in it. After an hour-long battle, Rogov clarified, the enemy’s attack was repulsed.
“Last night, a large group of landing boats overflowing with special operations forces fighters left the southern district of the city of Zaporozhye and other directions. Also with them was a large loaded vessel. After the shelling of the city, an attempt to land troops began, including with the aim of capturing the Zaporozhye NPP,” Vladimir Rogov described the situation.
It is reported that last night the AFU shelled the city administration, the bridge at the entrance to the city and the Luch electric substation.
The attack on the nuclear power plant undertaken by the APU was not the first. Meanwhile, the IAEA leadership insists on creating a protective zone around the station, and the head of the organization, Rafael Grossi, said yesterday that he considers it possible to create such a zone by the end of the year.
