Vladimir Putin dismissed the Interior Minister of Karachay-Cherkessia

According to Ren-TV, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the dismissal of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Karachay-Cherkessia, Alexander Melnichenko.

Recall that Melnichenko headed the Republican Ministry of Internal Affairs since March 2020. Previously, he served as Deputy head of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Lipetsk region.

Police Colonel Sergey Baso, who previously headed the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia at Moscow Domodedovo Airport, was appointed Melnichenko’s successor as head of the Transport Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the North Caucasus Federal District.
