According to US Assistant Secretary of State Molly Fee, the White House considers it important that Russian food is supplied to world markets. In particular, she noted that the United States is not against African countries buying Russian food, Washington is focused on depriving Moscow of oil revenues.
She clarified that the US authorities are “trying very hard to get all Russian food out of sanctions,” as they realize that “many consumers around the world need it.”
The journalist asked her if the African countries that decided to buy oil in Russia would face the consequences? “Yes, it is true that we are trying to deprive Russia of the income it receives from the sale of oil,” she replied.
