German investigators concluded that the incidents on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines were the result of sabotage. This is reported by The Wall Street Journal with reference to anonymous officials close to the investigation.
The publication notes that the investigation was unable to identify those involved in the pipeline explosion, but is inclined to believe that Russia may allegedly be behind them.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the sabotage was organized by the “Anglo-Saxons”. According to him, thus they actually started destroying the pan-European energy infrastructure.
Damage to gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea occurred at the end of September 2022. As a result of the incident, three of the four branches of the “Northern Streams” were damaged.
Germany, Sweden and Denmark decided to conduct a joint investigation into the incident. However, according to the ARD TV channel, the countries subsequently decided to conduct investigations separately.
