The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that contradictory signals were coming from the United States. Her words are quoted on the ministry’s website.
“The public signals coming in recent days from the US administration in the context of what is happening in Ukraine combine provocative belligerence and confused hints about the possibility of a corresponding Russian-American dialogue,” Zakharova said.
So, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said earlier that if Russia shows “any serious intentions”, the States are ready to respond to them. Although more recently Blinken completely rejected the search for diplomatic solutions, she said.
At the same time, the real actions of the United States are not linked to the “peace-loving” rhetoric, Zakharova believes, Washington continues to supply weapons to Kiev.
