Israel has not yet begun to give a positive response to Ukraine’s request to supply it with air defense systems. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, speaking at a press conference after a meeting with the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
Zelensky stressed that air defense systems are a priority for the country in matters of national security. He noted that negotiations on the provision of air defense systems are underway for the acquisition of NASAMS and IRIS-T with Germany, as well as with the United States.
But the shortage of air defense, according to Zelensky, remains. He is going to involve France and Italy in resolving this deficit as well.
