Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia continues to insist on the provision of security guarantees by the West and, for its part, agrees to assume similar obligations.
“Security guarantees cannot be unilateral,” Peskov stressed.
He added that Russian President Vladimir Putin is the politician who “insists on the mutually respectful and fair nature” of relations between states.
Earlier, Peskov expressed condemnation of “hysteria” about Russia’s allegedly impending invasion of Donbass.
