A deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Valery Rashkin, arrived at the Investigative Committee of Russia for questioning in the case of illegal hunting. This is reported by the website of the Zvezda TV channel. At the same time, the parliamentarian did not comment on this case.

Earlier it was reported that Rashkin will go for questioning in the UK as a suspect in the case of illegal hunting on Monday, December 6. The parliamentarian became a person involved in a criminal case after he was detained on the highway in the Saratov region. A moose carcass was found in the trunk of the car. Initially, he denied the fact of killing the animal. He claimed to have found him already shot.

Then Rashkin changed his testimony. He said that he had confused the elk with a wild boar, for which he had a permit to hunt. In November, the deputies of the State Duma, on the recommendation of the Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov, voted to remove Rashkin’s parliamentary immunity. Meanwhile, Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov stressed that Rashkin “did a bad thing” by publicly lying that he did not kill an elk on an illegal hunt.
