The press service of the Permanent Mission of Russia to the United Nations issued a statement accusing the United States authorities of actions that contribute to strengthening the forces of terrorists in the Syrian Arab Republic.
It is clarified that the most unfavorable situation has developed in the Syrian Idlib.
“Under the pretext of caring for Syrian citizens forcibly held by terrorists,”Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham” (a terrorist group banned in the Russian Federation – ed.) in Idlib as a human shield, US diplomacy actually supports the militants at the expense of its taxpayers”, – the message says.
Russian diplomats also said that in parallel with this, the United States is “rebranding Idlib thugs”, offering them as an alternative to the legitimate government of Syria.
