Speaking at a briefing, White House spokeswoman Jennifer Psaki said that US President Joe Biden has no plans to send military units to the territory of Ukraine.
“Just to be clear: Biden has no intentions, no interest, no desire to send American troops to Ukraine. The task of NATO is to support our partners on the “eastern flank”, and this is what we are focusing on,” Psaki explained.
In addition, she added that all decisions on the deployment of troops are made jointly with the leadership of the Alliance. Therefore, the decision on whether the 8,500 US troops previously put on alert will eventually be sent to the “eastern flank” will be made jointly with NATO partners.
