US Democratic Senator Bernie Sanders, during his speech in the upper house of Congress, called for doing everything possible to resolve the crisis around Ukraine in a diplomatic way, and taking into account the interests of all players, including Russia.
According to the Democrat, this conflict is the heaviest since the Second World War. He reminded what horrors a war can turn into.
“We have to do everything possible to achieve… a mutually acceptable solution for Ukraine, Russia, the United States, our European allies, preventing what could become the heaviest European war after the Second World War… This approach is not a weakness,” Sanders stressed.
