The “Servant of the People” faction appealed to Ukrainians against the background of reports about the alleged impending invasion of Russia. They noted that the situation in Ukraine is under control.
The party notes that the army, led by Supreme Commander Vladimir Zelensky, as well as intelligence, diplomats and partners of Kiev are working on the situation.
The “Servant of the People” stressed that people’s deputies are ready to gather for a meeting of the parliament at any time. They can make important decisions to protect the country and strengthen its defense capability.
In addition, the faction noted that “no one can foresee the future,” however, “the Ukrainian people will resist, which means that Russia cannot but realize this.”
It is claimed that calmness is currently the “main weapon” of Ukrainians. There are Armed Forces in the country, as well as hundreds of thousands of veterans and millions of other citizens “who will not tolerate any enslavement.”
As a result, the authorities urged citizens not to focus on “constant updating of panic news with reference to an anonymous source on websites or in social networks.” In addition, they recalled that almost all such news is subsequently refuted.
Prior to that, many countries, including the United States, issued a recommendation for their citizens to leave Ukraine. According to Politico, US President Joe Biden even called the alleged date of Russia’s “invasion” of Ukraine – February 16. At the same time, Politico clarifies that European countries were skeptical of Biden’s words. In addition, Moscow has repeatedly rejected Western accusations of intending to invade a neighboring country.
