More than 80 former security officers in Belarus have been deprived of military (special) ranks. The corresponding decree was signed by the President of the country Alexander Lukashenko.
Ex-security officers were deprived of their ranks and class ranks for committing crimes, administrative offenses and discrediting offenses “incompatible with the status of a serviceman, an employee of the prosecutor’s office.”
Among those who have fallen under the document, there are also former servicemen who are currently taking part in armed conflicts on the territories of other countries.
