The White House press service issued a statement confirming that the meeting of US President Joe Biden with his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky is postponed from August 31 to September 1.
“President Biden will receive President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky at the White House on September 1, 2021,” the document says.
The statement also says that these high-level talks serve as a confirmation of the US commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, close cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy security and support for the Ukrainian authorities in the fight against corruption and the implementation of reforms.
