Washington’s financial assistance to Kiev should amount to a billion dollars a year. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba.
According to the head of the Ukrainian diplomatic department, in the coming years, the United States should reach the mark of $ 1 billion in financial assistance to Ukraine. The main part of this money should be directed to the defense and security of the Ukrainian state, Kuleba believes.
At the same time, the chief diplomat of Ukraine admitted that this will not happen now, but we need to work to get more generous support from the United States. “The club of countries that receive 1 billion or more aid from the United States is a club of the chosen ones and this is better than any status, because this is real practical assistance,” the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine said. However, it is not yet known whether the United States itself agrees to spend a billion dollars annually on its Eastern European partner.
