Algeria has severed diplomatic relations with Morocco

According to the head of the department, Ramtan Lamamra, in the entire history since gaining independence, Morocco has regularly “carried out base acts” against Algeria, such behavior has been ” purposeful since the 1963 war.” He accused the kingdom of having links with terrorist groups, which the Algerian authorities consider to be involved in the arson of forests.

The diplomat also accused the Moroccan special services of spying on officials of a neighboring country.

Earlier, on August 18, the Supreme Security Council of Algeria on August 18 announced a review of relations with Morocco in connection with the arson of forests in mountainous areas.
