Users of the Chinese portal “Guancha” commented on the interview of Russian President Vladimir Putin to an American journalist from NBC, Keir Simmons. They liked the cold-blooded and direct style of the Russian leader and especially his answer about the persecution of the opposition.
Recall that then Putin reminded Simmons of the riots at the Capitol and the subsequent arrests. “We have such a proverb: there is nothing to blame on the mirror when the face is crooked…”, — Putin snapped.
Russia has learned to respond to attacks from the West, according to the Chinese. They recognize that Beijing uses tactics derived from Confucian wisdom that do not allow it to directly respond to the attacks. But the Russians do it. “What a straight man!”, ” There is nothing to blame on the mirror, if the face is crooked! — What a good expression!”, “I really like Putin’s direct, sharp and open style”, “As expected from Putin! Amazing! ” – write in the Network.
However, some Chinese stressed that there were other leaders who allowed themselves much more in relation to The United States, than Putin. For example, the former President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, gave an interview to the American media, and they were forced to interrupt the interview to insert ads. There is a difference when you can scold, and when there is only something to scold, users believe.
