The Belarusian newspaper Nasha Niva claims that it has become aware of the circumstances of the death of the country’s Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei, who died suddenly on Saturday, November 26, at the age of 64.

The publication says that the cause of death of the diplomat, who had a “pro-Western” image and was considered a supporter of multi-vector, was a heart attack.

“Vladimir Makei was at home in Drozdy when he had a heart attack,” the publication says.

It is also reported that “he did not turn to the doctors in time, as he did not take his condition seriously.”

Officially, Minsk has not yet commented on the sudden death of the veteran of national politics. At the same time, rumors began to appear about a possible criminal component in the death of the diplomat. So, according to one version, Makei could have been poisoned. In Russia, a number of observers express the opinion that the West had a “grudge” against him. At the same time, the Ukrainian media are discussing the version that the death of the Foreign Minister could be the “last warning” to President Alexander Lukashenko, and blame Russia for what happened.
