All the crew members who were on the scientific vessel Akademik Ioffe detained in Denmark were transferred to another ship. They are heading to Kaliningrad. This was reported in the Ministry of Education and Science.
“All participants of the scientific expedition have been transferred from the research vessel Akademik Ioffe to the Akademik Nikolay Strakhov and are heading to the port of Kaliningrad,” the ministry said in a statement.
Earlier it was reported that there are 61 people on board the ship: 23 members of the expedition and 38 crew members. One of the participants of the expedition is a French citizen.
The vessel of the Institute of Oceanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences “Academician Ioffe” was detained in the port of Skagen on November 4. The vessel was detained at the suit of the Canadian company One Ocean Expeditions Ltd.
