US interest in Ukraine will begin to decline in 2024 due to the presidential elections in the States. This is the opinion of Financial Times columnist Edward Luce.
“The US is entering a recession. <..."This will pose a serious threat to the chances of [US President Joe] Biden - or another Democratic candidate - defeating [ex-President] Donald Trump or a Trump-like Republican in 2024," Luce suggested.
He also believes that representatives of the Republican Party will work to “thicken the election clouds over Biden”.
In addition, the observer added that in the US election year, the interests of Washington and Kiev will diverge, and also linked high inflation in the country with military and financial assistance to Ukraine.
