Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk said that before the start of the heating season in the areas of Donetsk region under the control of Kiev, the evacuation of the population will be carried out. According to her, it is planned to take out about 200-220 thousand people.
“There will be no heat in the Donetsk region in winter,” Vereshchuk explained.
According to her, the national legislation on civil protection of the population “speaks precisely about this form of evacuation as mandatory.”
The Deputy Prime Minister clarified that if a citizen refuses to evacuate, he will have to sign a document confirming that he is aware of the possible consequences and further “bears personal responsibility for his life.”
