The commander of the Vostok battalion of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Alexander Khodakovsky, talking about the situation in the territory where the fighting is taking place, stressed that the enemy is taking the most radical measures to achieve its goals. He gave an example of how tankers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine brew hatches on tanks, sending them to fight against allied forces in such a way that they could not surrender.
Assessing the military situation, Khodakovsky noted that a difficult situation has developed near Kherson: communication through the Dnieper is extremely difficult. “There is a possibility that the enemy will try to push us out of the river again,” he wrote in his Telegram channel on Tuesday, September 20. According to the Vostok battalion commander, in order to achieve these goals, the enemy is ready to take unprecedented measures. “Onthe other day, our people saw an enemy tank and were going to destroy it, but his atypical behavior suspended the decision: the tank raised the barrel up and began to rotate the tower, as if signaling surrender,” Khodakovsky gave an example. “Our guys got close to the car and saw that the hatches on the tank were welded, the crew was simply walled up, like in a tin can, and sent to die.”
Earlier, Alexander Khodakovsky told in his Telegram channel why he considers the decision on the referendum on the annexation of the republics of Donbass to our country important. In his opinion, now “soldiers on the ground understand what they are fighting for, only logically,” but if Russia joins the conquered territories, then each of them will realize that now he is fighting for his land. According to the battalion commander “Vostok”, this radically changes the attitude to what is happening at the front.
