Korotchenko appreciated the idea of sending 100,000 volunteers from the DPRK to Donbass

It would be possible to organize an air bridge for their delivery

North Korea has offered Russia to send up to 100,000 of its volunteers to participate in a special operation in Ukraine. It should be understood that these volunteers, of course, will be soldiers of the North Korean army. What are these people and does it make sense for Russia to agree to such assistance? Igor Korotchenko, Editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine, answered these questions to MK.

Information about the assistance of North Korean volunteers to the allied forces of Donbass was broadcast on the SolovievLive channel at the very moment when Nancy Pelosi’s grandmother, who had fairly “inherited” in Taiwan and China, moved towards Seoul to visit the special demilitarized zone separating North and South Korea.

The last American politician in this zone was Donald Trump, who met there with the leader of the DPRK, Kim Jong Un. Pelosi, of course, does not plan to meet with the North Koreans. On the contrary, he wants to defiantly stage another provocation there, this time against the DPRK authorities — by the way, a nuclear power.

As in the light of everything that is happening Should Russia consider the offer of volunteers coming from the DPRK?

– North Korea demonstrates real support for Russia in conducting a special military operation, – says Igor Korotchenko. – Let me remind you that she was one of the first to diplomatically recognize the sovereignty of the DPR and the LPR, periodically since then providing them with moral support. And, no matter how anyone tries to be ironic about the North Koreanthe army, I would say that its military personnel are the best in terms of preparing actions in conditions of dense urban development and industrial factory agglomerations. We can absolutely say that they are ready for this kind of fighting. In general, the North Korean army has the highest morale and the same high efficiency.

As for Kim Jong-un’s statements about assistance, they were all made in line with Russia’s support. And if we agree to this proposal, then the DPRK will definitely send its people – there is no doubt about it.  But here the question of political expediency already arises.  Will such a decision be made?  I find it difficult to answer this question.

– Well, what is the language barrier there? The task is set for North Korean units, and they are doing it!

– They could act in coordination with the armies of the DPR and LPR. But let’s not forget that North Korea has excellent artillery systems and extensive experience in using these systems. Including multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) of large caliber.

– Nothing like that. Koreans have MLRS systems of their own design. North Korea is completely autonomous and self-sufficient in terms of artillery systems. No wonder Americans and South Koreans are so afraid of the North Korean army.

– From the point of view of the delivery of troops and weapons, I think there would be no problems either. An air bridge is being created, and military transport aircraft ensure the delivery of these units to the combat area. We have often practiced such a transfer of our forces over such distances at various exercises. So from a practical point of view, everything is easy here. It’s up to the political decision.

By the way, we once helped North Korea in the fight against the imperialist aggressors. So the debt payment is red. And in this regard, Kim Jong–un is doing well, he remembers this. I sincerely respect this politician for being able to make tough decisions for the United States. He is ready to nightmare the West, including in terms of assistance to the Russian Federation. But, I repeat, in any case, this is a matter of Russia’s political decision.
