According to the military observer of Izvestia, Anton Lavrov, Russia in this case may introduce retaliatory measures.

In particular, Finnish airspace will come under closer radar surveillance, and air defense radar networks will also be improved.

It is also possible that the S-500 Prometheus anti-aircraft missile systems (SAMS) will be deployed faster near Murmansk or St. Petersburg.

“As an asymmetric response, the creation and deployment of a new generation of long-range precision weapons will certainly be financed,” the expert suggested, pointing to a possible adjustment of the deployment of Russian military aircraft.

Lavrov expressed confidence that concrete decisions of the military-technical response will be made after the exact intentions of Sweden and Finland become known.

Earlier, Doctor of Military Sciences Konstantin Sivkov revealed the scenario of a possible military conflict between Russia and NATO.
