Russian charitable foundations have appealed to President Vladimir Putin . They asked to change the law on foreign agents, excluding their organizations from its operation. This was told by the founder of the fund “Need help” Dmitry Aleshkovsky. the publication “Such things” reported

More than 40 people signed the collective letter, signatures continue to arrive.

Among those who addressed the head of state: founder of the Gift of Life Foundation, actress Chulpan Khamatova, recently appointed artistic director of the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater and founder of the charity foundation, actor Konstantin Khabensky, co-founder of Sunflower, director Timur Bekmambetov. Also, a trustee of the Butterfly Children Foundation, an actress, signed the appeal Ksenia Rappoport.

The letter proposes to give the right to non-profit organizations (NGOs) included in the list of non-residents to withdraw from the register when the law is changed.

The benefactors indicated that they are under the supervision of the Ministry of Justice, and their activities are not political. The founders of NGOs are sure that their organizations do not fall under the norm of application of this federal law
