Alexey Pushkov, a member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, commented on the growth of coal exports from Russia to China in his Telegram channel.

According to him, there is currently a change in global resource flows – following geopolitics.

“Russian coal follows oil. The direction is South and Southeast. And not only to China. 18.5% of the oil consumed by India is from Russia,” Pushkov wrote.

Earlier, the Banks channel reported that coal exports from Russia to China in August 2022 reached a five-year high, amounting to 8,542 million tons due to the fact that Russian companies began redirecting coal to the east, after the decision of the EU countries to abandon Russian energy carriers.
