The head of the Minsk City Executive Committee, Vladimir Kukharev, promised to take measures if retail chains in the Belarusian capital do not remove goods from Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine from sale. This is reported by the Deutsche Welle TV channel.

Minsk stores are obliged to remove” from the best shelves ” goods from countries that have imposed sanctions on Belarus. The demand was expressed on August 7 by the chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee during an expanded meeting of the Presidium of the Council of the Republic.

“A number of countries have imposed sanctions against us – Ukraine, Lithuania, Poland-and their goods (sweets, muffins, tea, cookies) are on the best shelves in stores. At the same time, domestic ones should also be searched for. Therefore, we have rigidly put the question before the networks: either the situation is changing, or we will take measures from our side, ” Kukharev stressed.

According to the newspaper “Belarus Today”, he added that such a decision “should be taken at the level of the whole country.”

Earlier, Poland and Lithuania called on the European Union to expand sanctions against Belarus due to the fact that Alexander Lukashenko ” turned illegal migration into an instrument of political pressure on the EU.”
