Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the military-civil administration of the Zaporozhye region, said in an interview with RIA Novosti that military bases located in the Azov part of the liberated territories of Ukraine should be transferred to Russia. This should be done in order to ensure the safety of the residents of the region.
According to him, the guarantee of the security of the Zaporozhye region should be the permanent presence of the Russian army in the region.
“Such steps will provide us with guarantees of security and peace of mind. Russian military bases can be located, for example, at the former Ukrainian naval base “Vostok”, which is located in the liberated city of Berdyansk on the shore of the Sea of Azov. Another place could be the air force base in Melitopol,” Rogov said.
