US Ambassador John Sullivan spoke about the state of affairs of the embassy after his return to Moscow.
According to the diplomat, upon arrival in Russia, he held a meeting with the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Yuri Ushakov. It is indicated that the results of the summit of Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden in Geneva were discussed. The Ambassador stressed that both he and the interlocutor agreed that the meeting of the leaders of the states was useful.
“But it marked only the beginning of discussions on a wide range of issues,” Sullivan added.
On Thursday, July 1, the diplomat intends to meet with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.
