The decision to restore the Saur-Grave memorial complex on the territory of the DPR was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Deputy head of the presidential administration Sergey Kiriyenko said. Funds for the restoration of this monument were allocated from the reserve fund of the head of state.
The eternal Flame on top of the Saur-Grave Memorial was lit for the first time since 2014. The ceremony was attended by: the heads of the DPR and LPR Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik, Kiriyenko, as well as Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov.
A video has been posted of them climbing to the top of the Saur-Grave to light the Eternal Flame on the restored monument.
