Deputy Prime Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development of Moldova Andrei Spynu said that the country’s authorities are in favor of renegotiating the terms of the deal with Gazprom. We are talking about the payment clause. This is reported by the Jurnal TV channel.
“We would have fewer problems if there was a stable price and gas tariff. If they are not reviewed, then there will be no problems with payment,” he added.
He clarified that Moldova wants to diversify gas supplies. In the event that the contract with Gazprom is on favorable terms, the country’s authorities agree to continue it.
At the same time, if alternative sources of supplies at similar prices are found, then “it is necessary to sign contracts” to create fuel reserves.
