According to Pardis ‘friend Abdul Ayubi, the militants stopped Pardis’ car on the way from Kabul to Khost province. He tried to escape, but could not. Local residents said that the Taliban fired at the car, and then pulled Pardis out of it and killed him. Ayubi said that Pardis received threats, and he wanted to leave Afghanistan, but could not get a visa.
