In Argentina, they announced a critical situation with vaccination against coronavirus. The reason is the delay in the delivery of the second dose of the Russian vaccine. This is stated in a letter from the adviser to the President of the country Cecilia Niccolini, addressed to the First Deputy Director General of the RDIF Anatoly Braverman.
According to the newspaper La Nation, for the vaccination of elderly Argentines, the authorities expected to supply at least 1 million doses of the second component of the vaccine on July 10 or 11. However, the batch came only on July 13, in the amount of 550 thousand doses.
Niccolini herself asked not to perceive the letter as a threat. According to her, the parties are in constant contact, the radio station Radio Con Vos reports.
She urged not to attach excessive importance to this message. According to Niccolini, relations and cooperation between the two countries are now ” at a very good level, despite the difficulties.”
