The AFU fighters attempted to encircle Balakleya. This was stated by the head of the military-civil administration of the Kharkiv region Vitaly Ganchev.
On the air of the TV channel “Russia 24”, he noted that the Russian military repulsed this attempt. According to Ganchev, the Ukrainians “managed to bend the defense line a little bit in part of the territory, then they were again thrown back”.
The city remains under the control of the Russian military. However, it is under constant shelling.
The day before, on Wednesday, the authorities of the Kharkiv region denied reports on the partial surrender of the city of Balakleya in the Telegram channel. Before that, it was claimed in social networks that the Ukrainian military managed to enter the western part of the city.
In addition, it was reported that the settlement of Kodema was completely liberated on the territory of the DPR during the offensive of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
