Turkish President Recep Erdogan agrees with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s statement that Ukrainian grain does not go to the most needy countries. In particular, it is not supplied to African countries, as it was supposed to be.

“Mr. Putin is right that the grain corridor supplies are not carried out to poor countries, but mainly to developed countries,” the Turkish leader said. According to him, it turns out that grain is sent to those states that have imposed sanctions against the Russian Federation.

As a result, he indicated that he and Putin would discuss this topic in Samarkand. In addition, Erdogan believes that Moscow itself should start sending grain.

Earlier, during a speech at the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF), Putin spoke about the supply of Ukrainian grain to the European Union. According to him, it does not go to starving countries. According to Putin, it may be worth limiting the export of grain from Ukraine. He decided to consult with his Turkish counterpart Recep Erdogan about this.
