A message appeared on the website of the British law firm McCue Jury & Partners that it had sent a notice to Russian businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin, who had previously admitted that he had organized the Wagner group, about initiating a claim for damages.
The statement notes that the lawsuit was filed in connection with the role of the Wagner group in the Ukrainian conflict.
The law firm also announced crowdfunding of the trial – raising funds to finance litigation and other actions.
The claim will be filed in the High Court of London.
The British media reported that the firm may start a similar business in the United States.
