The court of Cyprus has released a citizen of Ukraine on bail of 2000 euros, who attacked Russians with a knife in Larnaca, said public figure Mikis Filaniotis, who was present in the courtroom at the announcement of the verdict.

According to Filanotis, the prosecutor announced before the trial that three more charges from the office of the chief prosecutor had been added to the existing charges. “We demanded (to recognize) an attempted murder, a terrorist act. Until October 5, she was released on bail of 2000 euros,” Filaniotis shared details.

According to RIA Novosti, on the day of the hearing, a picket against discrimination of Russians and terrorism in Cyprus was organized at the entrance to the Larnaca District Court building.

Recall that the emergency occurred in front of the Faneromeni Church, where a group of people gathered to celebrate the Day of the Flag of Russia. Suddenly, an intoxicated woman approached the participants of the event and began threatening them with a knife. The attacker spoke in Ukrainian.
