Germans will have to come to terms with the consequences of the crisis in the economy and become more modest. This was stated by German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, speaking in Berlin.

According to the German president, over the next few years, residents of the country will have to put up with restrictions. But every citizen should contribute to the life of the country.

Steinmeier admitted that his words may sound like a mockery for those who already find it difficult to survive in a crisis situation. He stressed that the crisis is hitting businesses and the self-employed, but poor people are also facing its consequences, whose life already consists of restrictions.

Steinmeier also urged wealthy Germans to cut costs. After all, they, according to him, will not experience the difficulty of survival in this case. Also, the President of Germany promised that the authorities would not leave the country’s population without help.
