Emergency power outages are currently observed on the territory of the Kiev region. This was announced by the company DTEK “Kiev regional Power Grids”, which is responsible for the power supply of the region.
The company explains the need to turn off the lights by preventing mass accidents on power equipment. The order to carry out emergency shutdowns was given by the company “Ukrenergo”.
Earlier, Ukrenergo introduced special schedules for hourly power outages. They will operate in the center and in the north of Ukraine, including in Kiev and the Kiev region, Poltava, Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy and Zhytomyr regions.
Then it turned out that hourly power outages do not fully solve the problems, so emergency power outages began.
