The British authorities have instructed to conduct an urgent investigation into a possible data leak from the phone of former Prime Minister Liz Truss, including the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
Earlier, this fact was reported by the Daily Mail newspaper. According to the report, Truss’ personal phone was hacked when she was in office as the country’s foreign minister. Among the “leaked” data was information about the supply of weapons to Ukraine. The material indicates that Boris Johnson, who was in the post of Prime Minister, and Cabinet Secretary Simon Case preferred not to disclose this fact. The publication suggested that the phone was hacked by Russian hackers.
The head of the British Parliamentary defense committee, Tobias Ellwood, told the TV channel that “the parliament’s intelligence and security committee should conduct further investigation.”
Truss, who was elected in September, was forced to resign after only 44 days in office. The reason was the failed economic course of her cabinet.
