The French named the culprit in the disruption of the grain deal

Russia, which suspended its participation in the grain deal after Ukraine’s attack on Sevastopol, was supported by readers of the French newspaper Le Figaro.

Commentators considered Moscow’s decision logical, accusing Kiev of disrupting the agreement. They note that the well-being of many countries and their populations depends on it.

“Zelensky does not fulfill the agreements he signed,” Anou-Nimat noted. “And the poor people in Africa, who will not be supplied with grain, will pay for it.”

Grand largue declared the rightness of the Russian side, accusing the European Union of non-fulfillment of obligations. “According to the agreement, Russia, despite the sanctions, received the right to freely export its grain,” he recalled. However, according to the commentator, the EU interprets all the agreements in a favorable light.

Competent readers added that the Europeans actually sabotaged the deal by not giving Russia the opportunity to insure supplies. Because of this, Western companies were under the threat of sanctions in the case of providing services.

“The usual deception on the part of dictators from the European Union,” one of the newspaper’s readers summed up.
