NASAMS and IRIS-T complexes are being sent to Ukraine to test Western air defense and missile defense, military expert Alexei Leonkov said.
According to him, two NASAMS (Norwegian Advanced Surface to Air Missile System) with proper use will be enough to protect a maximum of two important infrastructure facilities or one large one — for example, Kiev.
Each NASAMS can function in an automated command line, receiving information about the air situation from US intelligence assets, the specialist shared details. “Piece deliveries allow the West to test this technique in real combat conditions,” Leonkov summed up.
