Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the LPR to Russia Rodion Miroshnik said that the battles of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) in the DPR had begun.
“The Wagner PMCs and allied forces entered Artemovsk,” Miroshnik wrote in his Telegram channel.
He added that currently fighting is already taking place on the streets of the city.
Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that after the use of artillery and MLRS by Russian troops and conducting active offensive operations, Ukrainian units of the defense forces were forced to withdraw from the Semigorye area in the Artemivsk direction and from the Butovka mine area near Avdiivka.
