David Kirkitadze, an opposition candidate for mayor of Rustavi from the United National Movement party, said that his supporters do not recognize the results of the last elections. In his opinion, the voting results were falsified.

In his speech, Kirkitadze announced an “acute protest” and the continuation of the struggle after the elections. He said that the United National Movement will soon present methods and a protest strategy.

The CEC of Georgia reports that the candidates from the ruling party won in five major cities of the country — Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi, Rustavi and Poti. The opposition candidate wins only in one city — Tsalenjikha.
