CEO of the GTS of Ukraine Sergey Makogon said that Naftogaz appealed to the German Ministry of Economy with a request to stop the operation of the Nord Stream-1 gas pipeline.
“This stream worked on an exception to ensure the safety of gas transportation to Europe, but after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, there are no more grounds,” Makogon said.
The General Director of the GTS justified the request to terminate the operation of the Nord Stream with the desire to ensure the safety of the gas transportation system of Ukraine.
