Russia is resuming its participation in the grain deal, the Russian Defense Ministry reports.
The ministry’s statement says that thanks to the participation of an international organization and the assistance of Turkey, it was possible to obtain written guarantees from Kiev that the humanitarian corridor would not be used for military operations against Russia.
“The Ukrainian side has officially assured that the maritime humanitarian corridor will be used only in accordance with the provisions of the Black Sea Initiative and the related regulation on the SCC,” the message says.
The Defense Ministry added that the guarantees provided seem sufficient at the moment. Participation in the grain transaction is resumed.
Recall that on October 29, Russian ships were attacked in Sevastopol, after that Russia announced the suspension of participation in the deal.
