The new mayor of New York, Eric Adams, promised that the city would soon overcome the crisis. This became known from his first address to the citizens.

Adams believes that now the largest US city is in crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the “ineffective actions” of the previous leadership of New York. Among the evidence of this, he highlighted the high level of unemployment, crime, economic inequality and racial injustice.

The new head of New York promised to deal with these problems. He recalled plans to carry out police reform and spoke about plans for interaction with both employers and workers. Eric Adams also shared his opinion that the crisis will not rule the city in the future.
